I had plenty of cheapie Elm327 adapters but wanted one that I didnt need to switch my wifi or use bluetooth to connect to.
Simple answer was to unsolder the HC-05 / HC-06 module and replace it with an ESP-01 that automatically connects to my Garage WiFi
