I liked this little $7 light from Temu but it quickly failed. Firest one channel went to full on then the motor stopped and finally the remote quit doing anything….
I removed the chip and soldered some wires on

I keep some UV resin in a squeeze bottle to insulate and secure the wires when I do stuff like this…..

I use a dental curing wand to quickly cure the resin. Too quickly as it will make the resin smoke if I get it too close….


I took an old ceiling light globe and 3D printed a base and some fancy dog legs. Then made a simple light controller with an AT Tiny 85….





Looks nice and I have a more pleasant night light….

might even use it as a “crystal ball” for Halloween
