There’s a lot of fake 18650 cells out there.
I noticed one of my flashlights did not have the capacity the others had and sure enough it had a fake cell in it…. It looks real enough but tearing it open tells the truth. Don’t try this, EVER…. use a battery analyzer like the one in the pic above…
and unwrapping that blob shows…
its the size of a AAAA cell.
