Ingredients:
- 3 Diced Yellow Onions
- 1 Cup Sliced Mushrooms
- 1-3 tablespoons Dliced Garlic
- 1 can Tomato paste
- 1 28oz can Crushed Tomatoes
- 1 28oz can Pureed Tomatoes
- 2 28oz cans Diced Tomatoes
- Emeril’s Italian seasoning or
- Basil & Oregano to taste
Optional:
- 1 Package Sweet Sausage
- 1 dozen Meatballs(see Eileen’s recipe)
- 2-3 pieces Braciole
- 1/2 cup Diced Bell Pepper
In a large Dutch oven brown meats and set aside. Drain most of the fat off. Add Bell Pepper, garlic, onions, mushrooms and a little butter to the pot and sauté for a few minutes. Add the 4 – 28oz cans of tomatoes and the can of paste. Return the meats(if used) and add Italian seasoning. Simmer for 2 – 4 hours.
