I was going to use a heavy duty tripod I had but the part looked so simple to duplicate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Using just Open Scad and a micrometer I was able to quickly model the broken clip and get it printing.<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium\" src=\"https:\/\/es.pratt.edu\/Commons\/Images\/meetup\/IMG_2674.JPG\" alt=\"\" width=\"3264\" height=\"2448\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Careful measuring and even the rivet holes lined up! <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium\" src=\"https:\/\/es.pratt.edu\/Commons\/Images\/meetup\/IMG_2678.JPG\" alt=\"\" width=\"3264\" height=\"2448\">I couldn&#8217;t help countersinking a 1\/4-20 nut in the side<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium\" src=\"https:\/\/es.pratt.edu\/Commons\/Images\/meetup\/IMG_2679.JPG\" alt=\"\" width=\"3264\" height=\"2448\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Now to chop up a bolt and make a replica of the missing thumbscrew<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium\" src=\"https:\/\/es.pratt.edu\/Commons\/Images\/meetup\/IMG_2680.JPG\" alt=\"\" width=\"3264\" height=\"2448\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A Dremel with a cutoff wheel made short work of that.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/es.pratt.edu\/Commons\/Images\/meetup\/IMG_2681.JPG\" alt=\"\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Looks pretty close. I made the head with a D shaped top for strength.
