I saw there is sintered bronze filament available for the 3D printers so I printed up a couple of proof of concept rod ends while waiting for the filament to arrive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/es.pratt.edu\/Commons\/Images\/technology\/bimba\/IMG_0097%201.JPG\" alt=\"\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>It should be interesting to see how well they hold up. Even these PLA parts seem pretty sturdy. I may have to make a test rig for them&#8230;.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The next real world project I have scheduled will be in an automotive air cleaner to open a ram air door.
